1. I suck at being selfless; Philippians 2:3-4

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

2. I don’t always remember the reason I am going; Mark 16:15

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

3. I am scared that I will get robbed; Joshua 1:9

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.

4. I am scared I will get sick; Philippians 4:6

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

5. I do not feel prepared to defend the gospel; 1 Peter 3:15

Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.

6. I do not want to have to preach; Mark 13:11

Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.

7. I lack confidence in my ability to do anything; John 15:5

9. I am scared that I will get kidnapped and be sold into the sex trade; Romans 8:31

11. I worry that if something happens to me while I’m overseas, my family will be angry at me, or at God and never be saved as a result; 1 John 4:16

12. I know that I will offend someone at some point; John 15:20

13. I wonder how difficult learning that language will be and how silly I will sound when I use it; 1 Corinthians 9:19, 22b

14. I wonder if my ministry will make a difference; Isaiah 61:1

15. I hope that I will obedient in every opportunity and situation; John 14:23

16. I want to be bold and speak without fear of what people will think; 1 Peter 3:15-16

17. I WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE; Be a sheep…Matthew 25:40

In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:

How tragic it is when we, Christians, become content with LITTLE of Him. We spend countless hours on our computers, watching tv and movies, talking with our friends, going to class, playing games, cooking, cleaning, sleeping, showering….and yet…spend 10 minutes? a half hour MAYBE…with our Savior. Yeah we’ve heard this before, spend time with God, pray, etc etc but never before have I felt a longing for more, a desire for more and such dissatisfaction in my relationship with Christ as I do now! I want more, I long for more. I have a goal to spend an hour a day just reading my bible…and when I think of that hour it suddenly doesn’t seem like enough and I want more before I’ve even had the hour. I am resolving to never be content with little in my relationship with the Lord because there will ALWAYS be more, and the more I have…the more I want and the more I want….the more I know I will get, until I reach my final destination and am with Him forever.

Are you satisfied with little?

Do you have confidence as a Child of God? Do you have Confidence in what He’s called you to do? or Who He’s called you to be? OR do you constantly need people to reaffirm that you did a good job and compliment you on whatever it is you are supposed to be doing for the Lord? (Preaching, singing, dancing, speaking, presenting, praying, drawing, writing, ministry, friendships? relationships? etc..) Remember….we have an audience of one; His opinion is all that matters. Do what you’ve been called to and have confidence in Him to help you do it well. If HE called you to it HE has given you what you need to do it! You are a Child of God and that’s what matters.

When we lack confidence in our ability to do what God has called us to do….than we LACK TRUST IN GODS ABILITY TO DO WHAT HE SAYS! BAGH! I know so many people who do not Trust in God. I am one of them at times. But God is Faithful and HE KNOWS what is best for us. He KNOWS who is best for us. HE KNOWS when it is best for us. Stop trying to live life your way…it will always fail to satisfy what you are truly looking for. ALWAYS.
